    Message from Market Manager

    MAGICALHOLIDAY PARTY
That’s what everyone kept calling it. Thanks to all who came and shared food and fellowship under the stars. A pleasant relaxing time was had by all in the backyard garden where Nathan orchestrated major mood lighting and Rita & Denise serenaded us all with seredipitous song and lovely duets. Wonderful potluck fare was shared by all. If you left anything at the party, please email us and we’ll deliver it with your next order. How’s that for service?

    LIKE CHOCOLATE?
This time of year is especially perfect for enjoying luxurious flavors. Be sure to include Flour Free Cakes from GateauOChocolat on your Holiday Menu. Chef Roux’s Gluten Free Chocolate Cake is made for you in St. Petersburg all year round for all occasions. This cake is beautiful to present at parties! And don’t miss TWO different types of hot chocolate offered by Savory Spice Shop. If you cannot run downtown to Joan and Paul’s Shop, it is now conveniently available on our online Market.

    HEALING REMEDIES
A new category on our Market products. Scroll down the list to “R” for Remedies. Imperial Garden’s Jennifer Gilman is now filling orders for natural remedies especially geared for cold and flu relief.

    ABUNDANCE AND VARIETY OF PRODUCE
We hope to connect with a local, chemical-free or organic grower who can supplement the fabulous produce we obtain from the small urban farms of St. Petersburg. Until this manifests, we will not have the abundance and variety of produce that was previously available when Worden Farm was on board. All this makes it even more important for our customers to support the efforts of our small urban farmers who continue to grow in number. Your financial support encourages our small urban Growers to expand in ways that are feasible to help meet the growing demand we have for locally grown, chemical-free produce. We are a small but mighty Market! Sincere thanks to all who continue to support us!

WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST CUSTOMERS! Once you have submitted your order, if in doubt about what you owe, you can always confirm what you have been charged for by checking your account history and viewing your most current invoice. Instructions on how to do that are on our Q&A page under the question entitled Since you don’t provide an invoice with delivery, how do I know what I owe? . Also, since your vegetables are picked fresh within 24 hours of delivery, they should be lasting for WEEKS in your refrigerator. When you accept delivery, please take a few minutes to inspect your order to protect your vegetables from unnecessary spoilage. Lastly, it is imperative that you understand our policy on Unclaimed Orders found on our Q&A page. When you make a purchase you are agreeing to abide by this policy.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW FOR JAN. 26TH

These events will be held exclusively for actively participating Market customers, growers, and volunteers and are meant to create a social atmosphere in which to network, share resources and experiences. Each event will include a brief informational lecture on subjects relevant to our group, including community building, growing and preparing food, health practices, to name a few. Presenters for the January potluck are Clark & Peggy Tibbits on “Intentional Community Living: 30 Years Experience”. An invitation to attend will come via Evite and RSVPs will be requested.
