Strawberry Passion Farm, LLC is Certified Organic and located in Thonotosassa, Florida. They operate a U-pick from early March until April and they close for the hot summer months. They sell wholesale from April until June which is when St. Pete Locally Grown will be able to purchase on behalf of our customers.

Jerry Wright, originating from a long line of Ohio farmers, & Charlie Young, a native of Plant City, have been partners in farming since 2007. Jerry has been involved with growing fruits and vegetables since 1975 and developed his knowledge with lots of “hands on” work. Recognizing agricultural trending towards organic farming, and starting with just 1.3 acres in 2009, this team plans to expand their organic farm from its current 37 Certified Organic acres to 70 and to cut back on conventional farming acreage from 172 acres to just 50. Their organic and conventional farming operations are completely separated by over 30 miles.

Here is what they grow: Organic strawberries November through May. Various Spring veggies April-June. Green beans, kale, bell pepper, herbs, romaine.
