Ida's Garden

This grower has a photo album.

I am coming from family that have a long tradition of comercial organic gardening in Bosnia. We started our small garden in NE area of St Pete about fifteen years ago, and since then it has been a process of ups and downs and mostly learning.
We feed our plants only with our own compost ( horse manure, see weds, greens etc. ), chicken manure, wormcompost, stinging nettles ( in combination with comfrey ) brewing tea, cofe grounds, and egs shels. We water our garden mostly with rain water.
Right now we have a lot of papayas ( ripe and green ones ), tomatos, two kinds of kale, neem tree leavs, moringa leavs, parsley, potatos, egplants, green beans, stinging nettle leaves, okinawa spinach leaves, chaya leaves, russian comfrey leaves.
To protect plants we use neem oil, stinging nettle solutin, raw cow milk. We don’t use any chemicals in our garden.
