Organically Inclined

Certified Organic

Donna Barry has been involved in forming and serving co-ops in St. Petersburg for many years. Many of the co-ops you know of have probably stemmed from her unrelenting passion for getting fresh organic produce to local area residents. Our initial success as an online Market stems in part from Donna who supported our Market by bringing business to us from two local co-ops of 12 families each. She literally helped us find local homes for our production overages.

Donna is now offering bulk food products to our customers. There will be nuts, seeds, rice, grains, legumes, dried fruit, and fresh fruit that cannot be grown locally. The quantity and frequency will depend on availability and demand. All the items are certified organic, purchased fresh from the Florida distributors in small quantities and stored so they stay fresh. Nuts and seeds are kept under refrigeration.

HOW TO MAINTAIN FRESHNESS OF DELIVERED PRODUCT: When you purchase these items, please note that plastic bags are used only to transfer the product to you. All nuts and seeds, chunks of energy products or anything containing oil should be refrigerated in glass jar to avoid contents from picking up odors and to keep it fresh. Plastic packaging does not protect contents from absorbing surrounding odors and is not airtight which means that oils can go rancid. Refrigeration is not needed for dried fruit (dates, cranberries, raisins), and legumes & grains (lentils, beans, peas, rice, oats) but they should be stored away from light, within closed glass jars to keep out the humidity.

Enjoy the freshest you can get and taste the difference that fresh makes. It’s now on our Market!
